- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, measuring, and the use of mechanical kitchen equipment
- Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency.
- Assist in the production of sauces, dressings, and other components of dishes.
- Ensure all ingredients are properly stored, labeled, and rotated to maintain freshness.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the prep area, including equipment and storage spaces.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and accurate completion of prep tasks and support the overall kitchen operation as needed by assisting with other tasks assigned by the chef.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Previous experience as a prep cook or in a similar role is preferred but not required - a positive attitude and willingness to learn are.
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
