Seasons Rotisserie and Grill in Old Town, a renowned restaurant located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is currently seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As the Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Chef in overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, and leading the culinary team.

Job Description
  • Assist the Executive Chef in developing and executing culinary concepts, menus, and recipes that align with the Seasons Rotisserie and Grill brand.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef in training, supervising, and inspiring the kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency, taste, and presentation meet the restaurant's high standards.
  • Assist in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of ingredients to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
  • Support the Executive Chef in menu development, recipe standardization, and cost control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Demonstrate strong culinary skills and stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and new ingredients.
  • Assist in scheduling, training, and mentoring kitchen staff, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Step in to lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role within a high-end restaurant or culinary establishment.
  • Strong culinary knowledge and expertise, with a passion for creating exceptional dishes.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse culinary team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations and the ability to ensure compliance in the kitchen.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
